Due to the hand crafted nature of our furniture please allow 12 – 16 weeks for made to order items to be shipped to your desired location. All made to order items are sold proforma (paid in advance).

Shipping:
Shipping is not included in our pricing due to the fluctuant nature of the industry. Once your order is received we will hunt our network for the best possible rate on your order. Rates will vary by state and are dependent on order totals. For an exact shipping quote please call us at 707.637.2265. All orders will receive detailed shipping information and charges via email promptly after order receipt. Orders will only ship after shipping charges have been paid.

Note: Commercial and trade only orders are subject to 100% of all shipping charges incurred per order.

Shipping Terms: Important please read.
All orders will be professionally packaged and crated to ensure they arrive in the pristine new condition you desire. In the rare event damage does occur in shipping it is the customers’ responsibility to open and inspect their order to ensure it is damage free upon arrival. If there is damage present please immediately refuse shipment for the damaged item only.

All damage must be noted on the freight bill in order for you to receive prompt replacement. Please also call us immediately to notify us of said damage so we can begin the replacement process as quickly as possible at no charge to you. Please take the arrival of your shipment seriously as we want you to love the experience of shopping with Lotus Home Furniture as much as you're going love your new furniture.

What Is Water Hyacinth?
Water hyacinth is an aquatic plant native to the Amazon region of South America. The plant has become an invasive species to South East Asia and is considered to be an environmental hazard to the waterways and indigenous plant life of Thailand and the surrounding countries.

Traditionally, it has been used to weave baskets, sandals and other every day goods. It was only until recently the Thai people discovered the plants perfect incorporation into indoor furniture as an eco-friendly upholstery. When the water hyacinth plant is dried and woven into its beautiful amber braids it holds incredible strength and sound constructive properties.

Do your products come with a warranty?
Yes, all our products are of the highest quality and come with a one year limited warranty from the time of purchase to report any manufacturer’s defects.

Do you take custom orders?
Certainly, we are pleased to have our award winning furniture designers and skilled manufacturers create your envisioned piece to your specifications.

Can I put this furniture outdoors?
Due to the natural nature of water hyacinth furniture prolonged direct sunlight and heavy outdoor use and weather will have harmful affects promoting rapid aging to your piece. Indoor furniture kept out of doors is not covered under warranty.

Maintenance & Cleaning Guidelines:

1. Use the vacuum cleaner brissel attachment to remove dust.

2. Wash with mild soap and very light water when needed, then dry.

3. Brush with nylon brush to remove dry food or mud etc.

4. A paint thinner can be used sparingly to remove tougher stains.

For major liquid spills, remove all upholstery, lightly hose the water hyacinth furniture and place outside in the sun to dry. Please note that it is important that the furniture is dried completely and not remain wet or damp for any length of time.

Water hyacinth is a natural handmade product and will absorb moisture and dry out in direct relation to climate conditions. To avoid any deterioration it is recommended that the environment be dry and well ventilated.

Special Notes: Chocolate and Charcoal coloured water hyacinth is a stained natural product and colors may vary. Lotus Home Furniture accepts no responsibility for any color variation or fading.
