What Is Water Hyacinth?
Water hyacinth is an aquatic plant native to the Amazon region. The plant was considered to be an environmental hazard to the waterways and indigenous plant life of Thailand and South East Asia. Until recently the Thai people discovered the plant to have incredible strength and sound constructive properties when dried under the sun into its naturally beautiful golden amber braids.

How is the furniture made?
The beautiful sun dried golden amber hyacinth braids are hand woven by highly skilled artisans onto incredibly sturdy and precisely hand cut wooden and ply frames.

Do you take custom orders?
Certainly, we are pleased to have our skilled manufacturers create your envisioned piece to your specifications.

Can I put this furniture outdoors?
Due to the nature of our current collections prolonged direct sunlight and heavy outdoor use will have harmful affects and promote rapid aging to your piece. Indoor furniture kept out of doors will not be covered under warranty.

Maintenance & Cleaning Guidelines

1. Use the vacuum cleaner to remove dust.

2. Wash with mild soap and water, then dry.

3. Brush with nylon brush to remove dry food or mud etc.

4. A paint thinner can be used to remove tougher stains.

For major liquid spills, remove all upholstery, hose the water hyacinth furniture and place outside or in a drying room to dry. Please note that it is important that the furniture is dried and not remain wet or damp for any length of time as this will result in mould and subsequent deterioration of the water hyacinth furniture.

Water hyacinth is a natural untreated handmade product and will absorb moisture and dry out in direct relation to climate conditions. To avoid any deterioration it is recommended that the environment be dry and well ventilated.

Special Notes: Chocolate and Charcoal coloured water hyacinth is a stained natural product and colours may vary. Lotus Home Furniture accepts no responsibility for any colour variation or fading.

Back Order Items
Due to the hand crafted nature of our furniture our products are created under a 60 day production time and require 30 days at sea to arrive on US shores. Please allow up to 16 weeks for your order to arrive at your desired location.

Note: A minimum payment of 50% is required for back order items. The other 50% is due before your order will be shipped to your desired location.

Return Policy
Products may be returned within 10 days of delivery for a full refund, in new condition. Customer is responsible for return delivery charges.

Shipping Charges
Customer assumes all shipping charges. Rates will vary by state. Once order is submitted detailed shipping information and charges will be submitted to customer.
